SYNOPSIS
In the emotionally powerful Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, a socially anxious high school student finds himself caught in a heartbreaking web of lies after a tragic misunderstanding suddenly gives him the connection and acceptance he has always longed for. As the story spirals beyond his control, Evan must confront the consequences of his choices while searching for truth, forgiveness, and a place where he truly belongs
AUDITION FORMAT
Please prepare a 60 second cut of any song (not from Dear Evan Hansen) that can show off your vocal range and acting ability. You can sing a cappella or bring a track, but there will not be an accompanist available. In addition to the vocal selection, you may be asked to participate in a cold read from the script.
Video submissions can be sent to erindawnking@gmail.com and must be submitted by Sunday June 28th at 2:30pm.
IMPORTANT CONTENT NOTICE
Because Dear Evan Hansen explores mature and emotionally sensitive themes including mental health, grief, and suicide, all auditioners under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a disclaimer, in person, prior to auditioning. This signature will confirm that the parent or guardian is aware of the show’s content and consents to their child’s participation in the production and audition process.
