Show Dates: June 3-7, 10-14, & 17-21, 2026

Audition Info:
When: Friday, January 30 at 6:30 pm, and Saturday, January 31 at 2:30 pm. Callbacks may be held on January 31st by invitation only.
Where: Town & Gown Theatre
What to Prepare: ​The audition will consist of a prepared cut of a musical selection no longer than 2 minutes in length. Auditioners are encouraged to bring a track or piano accompaniment. Selections should be from the standard "legit" repertoire (Rodgers & Hammerstein, Rodgers & Hart,
Lerner & Loewe, Cole Porter, etc.). It is acceptable to sing a selection from the show as well.

Audition Info:
When: Friday, February 6 at 6:30 pm & Saturday, February 7 at 2:30 pm. Callbacks, if needed, will be held by invitation only on Saturday, February 7.
Where: Town & Gown Theatre
What to Prepare: ​The audition will consist of cold reads from the script. You may submit a headshot and resume if inclined, but it is not required. You are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the play beforehand due to mature themes and challenging subject matter. Please email the director to request a copy of the script.
Cast Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old to be cast in this show. The director is looking to cast the following roles:

BLANCHE DuBOIS — Female. Early to mid-30s. A delicate, refined Southern woman. Complex, emotional, and hides her perception and intelligence behind a facade of gentility and charm.

STANLEY KOWALSKI — Male. Mid-20s to 30s. A sturdy and strapping man with a raw, primal energy. Working class. He is direct, brutally honest, and confident, with little patience for pretense or weakness.

STELLA KOWALSKI — Female. Mid-20s to 30s. Blanche’s younger sister and Stanley’s wife. She is warm, gentle, and deeply in love with Stanley.

HAROLD “MITCH” MITCHELL — Male. Mid-20s to 30s. One of Stanley’s friends and a potential suitor for Blanche. More sensitive and gentlemanly than Stanley. A strong sense of duty.

EUNICE HUBBELL — Female. 30s to 40s. The Kowalskis’ upstairs neighbor and landlady.

STEVE HUBBELL — Male. Mid-30s to 40s. Steve is Eunice’s husband, a rough, working-class man who often joins Stanley in his poker games.

PABLO GONZALEZ — Male. One of Stanley’s poker-playing friends.

YOUNG COLLECTOR — Male. 17-20s. A subscription collector for the newspaper. He stops by to collect money for the paper and leaves bewildered.

STRANGE MAN (DOCTOR) — Male. Mid-40s to 60s. Calm, professional, conveying a sense of authority and quiet compassion.

STRANGE WOMAN (NURSE) — Female. 40s to 60s. A stern, no-nonsense woman who assists in taking Blanche away.
